Author, creative writer and drama teacher
I’ve always been inspired to help people speak out and believe in themselves. This is why I work as a creative writer and drama teacher in schools and arts centres supporting children and adults to find their voices and create stories.
I’ve written two Young Adult novels in collaboration with the wonderful pupils of Limpsfield Grange, a school for autistic girls. The books stared life as a school project but were quickly picked up by Jessica Kingsley Publishers and we soon found ourselves featured in the national press and were no 3 in the Guardian Book shop charts.
“I wanted to wrap my arms around M – and her story – and never let go. This glimpse of the world through her eyes is touching, taut and – most importantly – truthful.”
FIND A WORKSHOP
I devise and deliver creative writing and drama workshops for primary and secondary schools, arts centres, theatres, community centres and festivals. I use music, poems, quotes, images, maps and props to inspire and develop ideas.
